Comments Thread For: Gorman: I Hope To Fight Joe Joyce, Daniel Dubois This Year!

Britain has seldom been blessed with a brighter crop of talented heavyweight cubs but Cheshire colossus Nathan Gorman is adamant that it's his destiny to surface as the King of the Pride. Putney's 2016 Olympic silver medallist Juggernaut Joe' Joyce is already nestled on the Commonwealth throne after just five paid gigs whilst fellow south Londoner Dynamite' Daniel Dubois has required just 12 rounds combined to violently eradicate his seven victims thus far.

Gorman and Dubois will be a big fight soon, maybe a headliner at the Copperbox in another 6 months? Looking forward to these guys fighting.

Even our b and c level heavyweight scene is great right now. Joshua, Fury, Whyte, Joyce, Dubois, Gorman.... even Allen lol

"Cheshire colossus" made me laugh. Gorman reminds me of a giant sad looking baby 😂

Looking forward to seeing these up and coming Brit heavies clashing, think Dubois or Joyce will come out on top eventually. Leaning toward Joyce following the fast start to his pro career. Looks to be relentless and powerful - albeit so slow that he appears to be fighting underwater at times...

I reckon Gorman and Dubois beat Joyce, his style will clash with a big power puncher the same size as him or someone that can move and is quicker than him..... he will come unstuck very soon.

Could see that, they're all so closely matched - Gorman might have an edge in technique and speed. Stick Hughie and Chisora on his way out in the pot and you could have some really good domestic nights over the next 18 months.

Dubois and Joyce both look horribly slow, but both have good power. I think Joyce's high pressure style will trouble a lot of heavyweights and I'm living in hope of seeing him avenge his Olympic loss to Yoka. But he could easily come unstuck at domestic level before that happens.

Gorman looks like a guy in the pub who agrees to step in when the boxer they booked can't make it.

I'd like to see him, dubois and Joyce settle their respective positions prior to looking to European levels and beyond.

6.3FT overweight and looks like a giant baby. The dude will get smashed as he steps up, he'd be better off losing some weight and moving down.

Gorman needs to focus on Big Sexy, that's tough SOB that is going to be bringing it. He KO'd the Gjergjaj of David Haye fame and went the distance with Hrgovic and was landing some big left hooks in that fight

I think we're all agreed that NG carry's a fair bit too much of puppy fat & could do with a very strict team behind him. Yes if he could make it @ 200Lb then he has a massive future. As for H/H forget it!!.....

Never underestimate the factor of power in the HW division, IMO, we have 2 HW champions that are big, powerful.... but have basic boxing skills. Height, reach and power count more in the HW division than any other.... I just don't think Joyce could walk down and outwork a Wilder/Joshua, even a Dubois. He will walk onto clean right hands with his style from what I have seen so far.... but he might surprise me and be able to box and move against these guys?

I think Joyce is good, and he will be better than a Chisora for example, but it's too late for him.... he will make a mistake and get chinned when he steps up due to lack of experience and thinking he can use his style on the pro's.
