Comments Thread For: Oscar Valdez's Manager Gives Status on Injury, Ring Return

Oscar Valdez's victory over Scott Quigg on March 10th on a rainy night at the StubHub Center came at quite a cost. Valdez - facing a Quigg who didn't even try and make the featherweight limit and came in heavy and thus ineligible to win the WBO featherweight title - suffered a fractured jaw, which hospitalized him for a few days after the fight.

I don't care how long it takes, makes sure he's back in full recovery which he absol***inglutely deserves!

One of my favorite fighters in the sport, that "Pain in The Rain" fight against a nearly 2 division weighing Quigg is legendary considering the circumstances!

            Get well Champ!

I'm afraid he may be damaged goods at this point.... hope I'm wrong.... but injuries like this will always take something out of a fighter

F.ucking cheating ass Euros tried to cheat and still couldnt win. Let us boxing fans hope Valdez makes a full recovery, take on a light but skilled puncher, than take on all comers.

Valdez is a must watch fighter IMO and besides Santa Cruz my favourite fighter at 126

Hope for a full recovery, just hope TR doesn’t
Put him on another on 2 year scrub tour once he’s back because 126 is too deep for that to happen
