Comments Thread For: Warren: Frampton Still Fights on August 18 - But No Warrington

I SHUDDER TO think just how many boxing events I have put on or attended over the years, but Saturday night's epic spectacle at Elland Road is now right up there with the clutch that will live longest in the memory. It was a night that ticked all the boxes. The weather was with us, a crowd well in excess of 20,000

Funny how when they was mentioning before about Windsor Park and now he has won, talk about resting, so if Lee Selby had won, they be rushing him for August Warren is scum.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy? Maybe, but in the buildup to this fight at least Warrington acted like a complete helmet.

At this rate, Frampton is going to end up fighting a no-mark opponent in his big Windsor Park date. Pointless.

Read Warrens column from after, its pathetic and very clear now from his language that his plan all along was to make a big night new champ. IF this fight had flopped he would have used the Frampton fight forit, now he doesnt need to care. His egofeud with Hearn is patheticly visible.

Warrington v Frampton won't happen anytime soon, i'm sure of that.

Hearn knows Frampton and Warrington with both sell out arenas in their respective home cities, regardless of opponent, so he will keep it that way. He'll probably wait to see if Frampton gets a belt and make a big unification fight down the line

"Make no mistake though, these two will meet and it will be a massive showdown on BT Sport. It will be a huge occasion between the two biggest draws in British boxing outside of Anthony Joshua at the moment."

I'm really surprised he hasn't said Warrington is bigger than Joshua.

lol No way Frampton fights Russell. He's not really looking for a challenge. He'd rather brush his fancy suits... (He only took the Santa Cruz fights because it is part of his retirement plan.)
