According to numerous outlets, Bruce Willis has signed on to portray the late trainer of former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in a new biopic. The Die Hard star will play Cus D'Amato in Cornerman, which will center on the legendary trainer's father-son relationship with the troubled young fighter, who he discovered at the age of 13 in New York in the 1980s. Tyson's role has yet to be cast.

It is sad Cus didn't see Tyson become champion but he knew what he had. He knew Tyson would become a ferocious hw champ, ol' Cus not ******. If Cus was around to guide Tyson another 10 years, history would prob be a lot different.

RIP Cus. All time great trainer, perhaps even better person.

Oh the article says its a Tyson Film, I'll skip this then. This movie should revolve around the 'Gentleman of Boxing' Floyd Paterson :

before the fraud Mike Tyson was anybody Paterson not only won gold in The 1952 Summer Olympics as a middleweight but went on to become the youngest HW champion BEFORE the no good Mike Tyson under Cus D'Amato ; also Floyd Paterson managed to stay out of trouble and drug addiction, unlike that criminal overrated convicted rapist human MEME Mike Tyson, who is a terrible role-model and person in life

-- Why would anyone want to make a film around him?

I've always had mixed emotions when it comes to the Cus/Mike relationship. If someone from the pound called me, because they knew I trained dogs to fight, and said "hey, We got this bully here, big head, thick muscular neck, natural-born killer, you should come check it out!" Then I go check out the dog, take him home, feed him, give him love, don't socialize it (take Mike out of school), and train the dog to be a champion fighter, would I be considered a good man, or a bad man? No doubt, Cus loved Mike, and Mike loved Cus, but Cus wasn't going to the adoption home looking for a son. It's complicated!
