Tony Bellew (30-2-1, 20 KOs) is gunning for a showdown with former super middleweight and light heavyweight champion Andre Ward (32-0, 16 KOs), who retired last year. Ward has not fought since stopped Sergey Kovalev in their rematch in June of 2017. Prior to Ward's retirement, there was some discussion regarding a potential fight with Bellew at the cruiserweight limit - but the two sides were unable to reach a financial agreement.

Kov thought the same and yet, there he stands. With two L's on his record from the S.O.G.

Called this as soon as Ward "retired."

Don't be surprised if he takes this, then fights the Usyk/Gassiev winner.

If he does that, then he could argue his resume against Floyd's lol

wards gonna be tough to beat after a years worth of steroid abuse. lets get it straight it wasnt a 'retirement' hes took a year out to get on the juice and avoid testing. look at his recent pictures.

It is the reason why Floyd took so many career breaks.
