Not really sure why the wilders defenders have an issue with this interview.
To me this reads positive news; sounds like rather than a load of chat through the media the teams are actually discussing privately and let’s be honest - that’s how the deal would get done. If we keep hearing media clippets of discussions it’s unlikely .Comment

Has nothing to do with "Wilder defenders". I say negative stuff about Deontay all the time. Not really sure why the wilders defenders have an issue with this interview.

We have a legion of annoying fanboys here who take their script directly from Hearn's twitter and get militant with it. If I gotta see these clowns quoting me every day using the "proof" argument, you can sure bet I'm going to laugh at the idiots when they get exposed like this.
Hearn is a promoter. That means he's lying scum just like Arum and DLH. Why anyone would become a fan of a promoter is beyond me. Embarrassing way for a person to be a boxing fan.

This is what he has been ranting about for over a week, now he is acting dumbfounded that people think he wants proof of the money. Wtf?
(Someone embed it please I cant on my phone)Simple explanation for you simpletons:
AJ and Hearn were sent an offer by Wilder and Finkel, and told they had 24 hours to accept it.
Hearn said he couldn't accept the offer without seeing the details, including proof of funds, and asked to meet with Finkel to discuss it. Finkel refused to discuss anything with Hearn unless AJ accepted the offer first.
That was more than 24 hours ago. A lot more than 24 hours ago.
Since then, Hearn has by-passed Finkel and opened up a dialogue with Al Haymon, which he describes as "very productive"
The questions he was talking about in that video are for Haymon, not Finkel, and whether AJ's $50million exists is not one of them, because Haymon isn't asking him to accept a $50million+ offer without knowing the details.
Simple innit.Last edited by kafkod; 05-04-2018, 06:14 PM.Comment

Wilder's camp have apparently shown Hearn that the money is there to cover what Joshua asked for. That should be the end it, the handshake should've been done, and everyone would then sit down to talk over how to maximize the event. Not really sure why the wilders defenders have an issue with this interview.

That doesn't seem to be what's been put forward to the press; rather than shaking hands on moving onto the details, Eddie Hearn's public posture is that he's not willing to agree to anything, even on a handshake, before all of the details are filled in, over some nonsense about public image.
Team Wilder, with the event under their control, wants to create the biggest event possible.
There's nothing in the UK that would take the fight away from MGM Resorts, and there's near nothing that would take the fight away from Showtime in the US, but everything else seems negotiable.
Nothing in the UK brings more money to the pot off of TV than Sky Box Office, so odds are good that Sky gets the UK rights. The main event sponsor tied with Team Wilder is Corona, and that's likely going to stay the same; if Hearn has sponsors that also want to host the fight in addition to Corona, I don't see Team Wilder saying no.
TSN will get the rights to the fight in Canada (unless Bell puts the fight on PPV), and TV Azteca seems set to have the rights to the fight for Mexico, but it's basically a free-for-all in almost every other TV market (Canal Space for the rest of Latin America, SuperSport for nearly all of Africa, Polsat in Poland, PPV in Australia seem to be the only set relationships that Team Wilder has for Wilder's fights); any other TV money that Hearn could bring to the table won't get shunned, lol.
If the fear is that a handshake agreement can be made, but he may have to walk away from the deal because he couldn't convince Team Wilder to use StubHub instead of Ticketmaster to host tickets for the event, he needs to make that clearComment

1. He has confirmed he has received no proof of funds. There is no confirmation from Finkel or Haymon of proof of funds, if there was they will have called Eddie on any bull****.
2. He has said all along there are many things to find out about, besides proof of funds before they can agree on an offer, hence why he is asking these questions and Haymon is answering. He is not changing the story here.
3. Wilders offer expired after 24hrs. They are quite possibly discussing a new offer right now that doesn't require proof of funds until all other terms are met.
Seriously, take Wilders nuts out of your mouth. Hearn and Haymon are clearly trying to make the fight. You make out like Hearn lies about everything and moves the goal posts yet Haymon appears happy to be working with him. I see no quotes from Wilders team that Hearn is being unreasonable right now.Comment

Look at the minions trying to distract from the subject.
Hearn says he needs proof of funds. Hearn says he is not asking for proof of funds.
I know you guys are a little short on mental capacity but even you can see the issue there. Maybe it's time to stop embarrassing yourself for some douchebag who doesn't know you exist and just say, "hey, he's full of shyt! "Comment

Many of these Wilder loons are definitely not that intelligent. Are you totally ******ed ?
Proof of funds arent relevant if they cant answer the questions hes sent them .
Proof of funds would then be looked at bc negotiating would start if it checks out .
You CANT have a fight if no stipulations are giving first .
Proof of funds are legally required , all hes asking is the 5 questions he wants answered at this point bc Finkel refused to even meet last week .
It is obvious what is going on here. Hearn wants ALL the terms and conditions (and rightfully so) and these thinking impaired morons think that’s not reasonable.
Hearn wants proof of funds AMONG OTHER THINGSComment
