Comments Thread For: Golovkin: Martirosyan Was Best Fighter on 2004 US Olympic Team

Gennady Golovkin beat one of the most talented fighters on the 2004 United States Olympic Team to qualify for the middleweight final in Athens. Golovkin doesn't believe Andre Dirrell was the best boxer on the American team that year, though. The unbeaten IBF/IBO/WBA/WBC middleweight champion doesn't think that distinction belongs to Andre Ward, either, even though Ward won the light heavyweight gold medal that year.

Horrible fight. First time in years that I will not watch the Cinco de Mayo fight and have no interest in watching the Cinco de Mayo fight. Vanes is a 154 pounder who is coming of a loss, has been inactive for 2 years and has never fought at 160. Horrible fight all the way around.

Best U.S. boxer in 2004.☺☺ And Golovkin has the audacity to question Canelo's honesty.

White not??? Let's have a black British fight a white brit and call it a MexiCAN showdown...

It's 2018 and the guy is coming off of a loss - lost two out of his last 3 and his win in that 3 was an MD against Ishe Smith.

I won't even watch the fight. Waste of time.
