As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, Gennady Golovkin finally has an opponent for his May 5 fight. The middleweight champion has found a replacement for Canelo Alvarez, who has been suspended for six months by the Nevada Athletic Commission for failing two drug tests. Golovkin will defend his WBC, IBO, WBA and IBF titles against Vanes "The Nightmare" Martirosyan at the StubHub Center.

Cannot blame Vanes for picking up a paycheck, nor do i fault GGG for trying to safeguard another payday against Canelo

BUT still not a good look for GGG..going DOWN in weight to find a semi retired opponent is just sad no matter how you slice it.

Well are we ready for Vanes to pull off another Saddam Ali!!

Now that would be some poetic justice ?!?!?!

Curious how much Vanes is being paid.

Vanes tried to get fights, and money obviously was not the issue or he would not have taken this fight. I'm not in love with the fight but a solid stay busy.
