Comments Thread For: Loeffler Still Working on Gennady Golovkin's Return on May 5

While there is speculation that IBF, WBC, WBA, IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs) may end up not fighting on May 5th, Tom Loeffler, the head of GGG Promotions, insists that he is still working on securing a fight for the unified middleweight champion on that date.

they're looking into dehydrating Chavez Jr. to 160 or any other 21yo Mexican that takes the money.

Munguia is out, O'Sullivan is out, Vanes is out, they said NO to Andrade because he "Was a Southpaw", someone has said that GBP offered Yamaguchi Falcao as a opponent, the thing is Falcao is a Soutpawh..................

Can u imagine the backlash if they picked Falcao???

Not to mention that apparently IBF said no to Martirosyan and apparently that is the main problem GGG is facing now, looks like Golovkin is trying to resolve the IBF mando issue.

So my guessing is that IBF is pushing for Derevyanchenko and if Loellfer can't convince them Golovkin is getting stripped.

I really don't know what to think anymore, they have had a couple good replacement opponents throw themselves out there as a replacement, one being the IBF mandatory, there will be backlash if it's Spike O'Sullivan. 3 weeks is till adequate to promote whatever but damn get on with it.

Just eat the loss already and cancel this show until they get him a decent opponent.

Loeffler: 'JCC, can you make 160 ? Wanna fight GGG May 5 ?'
JCC: 'no problemo ese, I make 160 easy, make huevos revueltos with GGG cojones'
Loeffler: 'no problems with any drug testing ?'
JCC: 'oh wait, got a party May 5, maybe next year ?'

it doesn't matter who golovkin faces,he wont get credit for the win,,,i mean let's say it's andrade, anybody really think if ggg wins people will call it a great win? they will say andrade didn't prepare well,,that he needed time for the biggest fight of his career and that is true,,it doesn't matter if andrade has been in the gym all this time,he needs a plan, work on things to do against ggg,,any fighter will be going in on short notice
