  • Comments Thread For: Carl Frampton: I Think You Will See a Really Big Performance

After a prolonged absence, Carl Frampton returned to to fighting in front of his adoring Belfast public in December against the game Mexican Horacio Garcia and delivered a performance he modestly labels as just okay'. Now, as he readies himself for a highly-anticipated shootout against ring legend Nonito Donaire at the SSE Arena on April 21, The Jackal reflects on his homecoming and tells us to expect an improved version of himself in part one of his latest Fighter Diary

He might need it, it seems like his career has kind of crumbled since losing to Leo Santa Cruz, with all the drama about his fallout with the McGuigans. Donaire is a faded force but beating him convincingly should set him in good stead again.

Frampton needs a big win here. That will hopefully setup a fight against the Warrington/Selby winner

Boy was this guy one of the biggest hype-jobs thats been exposed in recent years, wasn't he? I mean I remember laughing at the RING for rewarding this bum 'The Fighter of the year' in 2016!

Framptons best win is a Kiko Martinez, and no he did not beat Leo Santa Cruz in the first bout ( I studied the film - he didnt period ) and if he beats a shot Nonito Donaire this bum is talking about fighting Selby or Warrington?! I thought you are suppose to keep going forward not backwards!

Carl Fraudton, failed to make weight for his WBC eliminator ON PURPOSE ; he knows he don't want none of Gary Russell Jr. OR Jo Jo Diaz ; those are the names that help his legacy but this guy rather be a paper WBO chump.

Unless Donaire is completely and I mean completely washed the f up, he beats Frampton boxing and countering. I just think Donaire is to experienced not to use his reach advantage, Frampton has such small arms.

Frampton should take this, Donaire is shot sadly. He will still be the best name on Frampton's resume bar Santa Cruz though. I don't have much confidence in Jamie Moore as a trainer, but lets hope the Garcia fight was a combination of ring rust/new trainer/team/homecoming.
