They can publically say pick me, then ask for 50%.

GGG is finally in position to get a unification with Suanders, all bodies should let him. He’s earned it.

After that, defend against mandatory. Retire or move up. You earned off of them and owe these guys nothing. They all waited until they think you slowed to move up to 160.

Not on a short notice situation. GGG isn’t a fault Canelo ****ers up. And despite what some think, just because you publically claim you’ll fight, doesn’t mean you will take the deal offered.

Plus, they have nothing to lose, but everything to gain. They take it short notice, lose, just claim they lost against a champion on short notice.

GGG loses all he built up on a risk of taking a good fight with short notice. No time for strategy.

IBF has right to, but it’d be bogus. They’d punish ggg for what Canelo did. They know it’s not realistic to expect guys to just jump in, especially guys with something to lose.
No one expects GGG to fight a top tier opponent on short notice. I, like others, expect GGG to take on a quality opponent next (Saunders or one of his mando's). Right now, there are multiple quality opponents calling out GGG with no response from his Team. That is very telling. There is absolutely no reason to have a fight on May 5 other than salvaging camp money (which he could sue to recoup or simply have it added to the contract for the next Canelo fight if it happens).

I understand what they are doing. Looking for a soft touch and hoping for/planning on a September rematch. Its a money decision, particularly since GGG has already said he believes Canelo was on PEDs during the first fight and the consensus amongst fans is that GGG won. However, we want GGG to back up all the **** you and others like you have talked regarding how "great" he is. Beating Canelo in a close fight doesn't cut it for a lot of fans.

Im not one of them when l watch him l see what he can do and what his limitations seem to be but.. limitations can be overcome with grit and (ggg) is a tough mother fvker so we’ll never know because he seems to have become a businessman overnight when all along he was only pretending to be avoided and couldn’t get a fight. Yes felix sturm avoided him but no one else and that was almost 10yrs ago. Since then he’s claimed to want to unify and said his resume was weak because of the mandatories now when the mandatory is a threat all of a sudden hes a businessman and they’re not worthy gtfoh miss me with that bullsht

Like I said before he’s making it really hard to keep defending him like l have in the past before the canelo situation and his team also lowballs opponents as well to keep up the avoided invincible boogeyman myth. Well guess what lm hip to it actually been hip to it but l gave him the benefit of the doubt but fvk that no more its over.
        Thank you!

Not true. Most unbiased fans do. Is he himself a top tier or not? And, Andrade and Dev aren't so top tier, anyway. What's the hold up there?

It was a good plan of The WBC for Golovkin to have a mega-fight rematch with Canelo, while mandatory Charlo stayed busy. Jarmall did just move up to MW, so getting some fights under his belt in the class would benefit him. And if he were dominant, it would have built interest in a fight with him against the winner of Golovkin vs Canelo II. It was Canelo who ruined that plan with the failed drug test. Now it's time to reset and move forward without Alvarez in the equation. However, for Shields to suggest it should have been Charlo all along isn't accurate. I'm sure he took some step-aside money to allow the GGG-Canelo rematch, since he's Golovkin's mandatory.

Let's be clear, I don't consider 6+ weeks to be short notice for a fighter already training for a fight (Jacobs, Saunders, Andrade, Dereyvanko(sp)).

At this stage, 3 weeks isn't enough time to get the competition fight fans deserve.
