Comments Thread For: Conlan Reflects on Giving Middle-Finger Salute at Olympics

Michael Conlan accredits much of the fanatical support surrounding his professional career to a famous low as an amateur. The Irish sensation (6-0-KO5) recently headlined a sold-out Madison Square Garden amid trademark fanfare but believes the focus he's being afforded is primarily the by-product of his Olympic controversy.

And you'll just be known as Dramacyde. I bet Conlan wishes he could trade placed with you.

I think he is already significantly better than his older brother just given his amateur achievements. I don't think he'll be an atg or anything, but I suspect he'll win world titles and make a lot of money. The stevenson fight is the natural fight to make and will happen at some point. I think B class is a bit harsh, but it remains to be seen.

Anther Irish fighter that'll end up in obscurity. He's too big for that weight. Get him in 135 and it's a wrap.

He's building his profile in the US, it would be counter productive to go home at this stage of his pro career and fill a stadium of fans who already follow him.
