    Best power punch

Outside of the jab, which is the true staple to any fighters offense, what is the most powerful punch? Is it a cross, hook, uppercut?
IMO I feel that a short inside uppercut seems to be the one for me. Aside from that a good liver hook is a punch you can’t get away from. It also has the effect that seems to be slightly delayed. Anybody that had ever fought amateurly or pro, knows that the liver shot takes not only your breath, but shuts your body down.
    What do you guys think?
Appreciate all opinions. If you have a favorite shot during a fight, feel free to use it

In general the cross because of the pairing it makes with the jab, right after comes the hook, a good hook can be used for defense and attack, an all-around weapon

If taught correctly and thrown correctly a Power punch can be a hook , straight Right or Left and uppercuts. You can also make a jab a power punch if you throw your hip into it.

Different fighters have different power punches but I like to see a well thrown uppercut. Tyson was one of the best with the uppercut but one of my favourites was Tete against Paul butler. He threw a fake jab and came right up the middle and knocked butler out.

Yes sir...Tyson had a hallmark uppercut. It was short, strong and viscous to say the least

Angelo Dundee said that for a southpaw, the left hook is the strongest punch. As a southpaw, I think he's 100% right. Even if I disagreed with him he'd be right because he's Angelo frickin' Dundee.

I think the most dangerous is uppercut, the highest chance to knock your opponent out. My favourite power punch would be probably left hook.

I think it's a good straight right or a straight left for a southpaw. Examples are Hearns, Stevenson, Marquez, Pacquiao,Marciano, Wilder, Kovalev and of course many others A Trinidad type left hook might be as hard as any straight right though.

Southpaw left hook to the body is the most dangerous in my opinion.

Agree with you on the straight from the opposite stance. It’s a mean shot straight down the middle
