Comments Thread For: Truax: I Would've Gone To England Again For DeGale Rematch

Caleb Truax would've loved to make the first defense of his IBF super middleweight title in Minneapolis. Truax is from nearby Osseo, Minnesota, and is certain his immediate rematch with former champion James DeGale would've drawn a large crowd in Minnesota's biggest city. The newly crowned champion also was more than willing to return to England, where he upset DeGale by majority decision December 9 to win that 168-pound title.

Wilder fans will read this article and then not comment because they know what a reminder this is to Wilder ducking Joshua and being afraid to travel and afraid to leave that home cooking.

Yep! Tank, Spence, and Truax all went to the UK in 2017, and beat down the Brits in their own backyards!

                Actions speak louder than words...

Why didn't he take the flight to confront Joshua and build the fight? Why isn't he coming to the UK to negotiate the fight?

"Finkel also explained Wilder's reasons for not attending the Joshua fight, the heavyweight having felt that he may have been subjected to unnecessary taunting from other quarters, such as Dillian Whyte."

""These are two undefeated heavyweight champions. It has been a long time since we've had this opportunity. We are prepared to meet as soon as possible, anywhere, anytime, and when I meet Matchroom I will have the authority to make the deal. It's for the better for everybody, and the sport. Unless someone has another agenda. We are ready. Let's make the fight."- Finkel

For some reason when I think of this rematch and read this article, I can't help but think of Truax and Degale re-enacting this scene in this fight
