Comments Thread For: Hearn Quickly Rules Out The Idea of a Joshua vs. Parker Rematch

Anthony Joshua says it was an "honour" to share the ring with New Zealand heavyweight Joseph Parker but his promoter Eddie Hearn has ruled out a rematch following the Brit's victory in Cardiff. Unbeaten Joshua (21-0) added Parker's WBO heavyweight crown to his IBF, WBA and IBO titles by unanimous decision at the Principality Stadium on Saturday.

Could have been a much better fight if Hearn hadn't payed off the ref.

Just the thought bores me.As I thought Parker was too small and incapable of getting to Josh.Parker hasn't improved much in three years but is still good enough to beat the likes of Whyte and co.

you mean the ref that david higgins negotiated be installed?
the non-british ref trhat higgins said he was happy to have negotiated for and is on record as saying it meant that there was to be no bias?

Who's gonna be next? Wilder, Ortiz, Big Baby all beat mediocre and static AJ. People complain about Fury, but at least he can actually box and groove! I guarantee there will be no "Dancing with the stars" for Joshua.. lol

Dude, let's be real, AJ demolishes big baby. Let's not give them a reason to give us that fight.

The ref was overly-officious but that affected Joshua more than Parker. Several times he separated them unnecessarily when AJ was starting to tee-off. Also, the scoring wasn't wildly out. I made it nine rounds to three (117-111).

                    Good.

Parker looked fine. Not great, not terrible. We don't need a rematch.
