Joe Cordina will face a new opponent in his first title fight this weekend.

The Welshman had been set to come up against Andy Townend at the Principality Stadium. But the former English champion and ex-British title challenger has suffered an injury and will not come up against The Welsh Wizard' in Cardiff on Saturday.

Boy have times changed!When I was young being a British fighter was kinda an insult(not a hard and fast rule)now esp since leading up to 2012 they have put a lot of money in Am system and R McCrackin has done a GREAT job building it.Now they have MANY good fighters and prospects but this kid Cordina imo is the best prospect in England.Seems like Kelly and Bausti get most of press and there both very good but I see things in Cordina(esp footwork)that I don't see in others.I think if this kid keeps his head he is a future champ and star.Cant talk about chin,heart yet but skills wise this kid REALLY impresses me.
