Comments Thread For: Haye is Very Impressed With Whyte, Shakes Head at Browne

Dillian Whyte called out WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wlider after the comfortable stoppage of Lucas Browne in the sixth round on Saturday. Whyte firmly put himself in the frame for a world title shot with an impressive display, and he immediately turned his attention to Wilder - who retained his strap by beating Luis Ortiz earlier this month.

I remember when Browne got that belt, bottomfeeder Haye immediately piped up that he wanted to fight him next!

Back on the doors for Browne and Whyte isn't that far behind, unless he fights a contender and states he deserves a title shot ....this doesn't.

If Haye wanted that fight he would have got that fight. Make no mistake.

Good win by Whyte. Maybe he has improved as a fighter but Deontay is a different animal. Whyte does well with stationary targets. His real test will come with a mobile target like Deontay who can stick and move. Not saying he can't win but that's when we will know what stuff he is adw of.

It was over at the weigh in. Brown was inactive and way out of shape and fought accordingly. Brown was moving around the ring like twinkle toes vs. Chageav, he looked like a beer belly hobo vs whyte.

I feel sorry for Browne, he has worked so hard to get to where he is.

Oh well, I'll talk to him while he's mowing my lawn and cleaning out my gutters.

Unless you look at the WBC rankings of course. The WBC have Whyte as the number one contender. What other rankings do you consider relevant to the WBC belt held by Wilder?

The way Whyte landed blow after blow on that plodding, man-boobed, organic punch bag was world class.
At least Ortiz could still rumble without his juice, but sadly Doofus Browne was feeling way too thirsty. Really poor show LB.

I agree, Browne looked like a different fighter vs Chagaev.

Whyte did what was needed but Browne was horrible, so ewsy to hit and so clumsy.

                    Wilder murks Whyte, sadly.
