Comments Thread For: Hearn: Whyte Was 'Poor' Against Helenius, Fight Was a Stinker

NEW YORK Eddie Hearn wasn't particularly pleased with what he saw from Dillian Whyte in his last fight. Whyte's promoter deemed his performance "poor" when Whyte defeated Robert Helenius by unanimous decision in a 12-rounder on the Anthony Joshua-Carlos Takam undercard October 28 in Cardiff, Wales. Hearn added that Helenius' reluctance to engage was at least partially responsible for the way Whyte looked that night at Principality Stadium.

If Whyte sc****s past useless puncher Browne then he gets a world title shot .....'the winner gets a title shot 100%' is what has said.

Sky either have to draw him in and give other promoters a chance or get rid of this guy. He's a good businessman but I watch boxing for the great fights and a break from the office.

By the way - Duhaupas vs Miller is going to be a stinker as well. Step-up, Ed.
In all honesty, the first 1-2 rounds Helenius looked very game. But as soon as he injured his arm we went into defensive mode and kept smothering Whyte on the inside.

He had 5 days prep for the fight. That's why he was completely gassed for 8 rounds. Whyte still couldn't hit him.

In the UK Whyte Vs. AJ 2 is a much bigger fight to make on PPV than Wilder, Wilder is still relatively unknown here.
However, any fight AJ puts on will likely sell and do good numbers, but like I said It helps If you are actually known...
If only Wilder didn't duck the Chisora fight in England!

Think so? Miller vs Whyte is the fight Hearn needs to make.

You are completely wrong .Only Eddie Hearn wants to see a A.J. v Whyte rematch.Whyte was beaten emphatically the first time by knock out and has not looked good since.A.j. v Whyte is at this time second rate .A.J. v Wilder is has even Hearn himself said the' biggest fight in world boxing'.

AJ v Whyte is a much bigger fight on ppv than A.J. v Wilder .....lol as much as Hearn doesn't want to make the Wilder fight even he would laugh at this completely ****** comment .
