Comments Thread For: Joe Joyce-Dereck Chisora Likely To Be Confirmed For Bellew-Haye

Joe Joyce will fight Dereck Chisora in seven weeks' time. The Olympic silver medal winner dismantled Donnie Palmer inside a minute, exclusively live on Channel 5, as he warmed up to fight the former British, Commonwealth and European heavyweight champion. Joyce had long been linked with a fight against Del Boy', but it appeared finances were getting in the way.

this is how we do it in europe, the fast track route. no hanging round fighting 30 bums before stepping up like wilder did after the olympics. Up to fringe world level after 4 fights.

Why do i get the feeling Joyce will be the new hate target ?

Because its boxing scene thats why , hate on the actual talent , go with the more least skilled guys who sound like WWE characters !

Chisora is shot but at least he has a pulse unlike Joyces last opponent.

Joyce is going to box his ears off unless dell boy times his slow ass slapping left hooks

I thought Chisora was fighting Takam? And I thought Haye was low balling Chisora for Joyce ($80k iirc)?

If you think about hardly any British boxers get love on boxing scene...
Joshua has more haters than fans in here

Only fighter in recent years that gets props on here is froch and some clowns even bash him

Success brings haters on so I’m guessing you will be right about Joyce

              He’s looking the biz already

Has nothing to do with that.

He's 32 years old, older then all the current World Champions Wilder, Joshua and Parker so there's no point investing the time and money in him for the next two years only to find out he hasn't got the goods at World Level.

Having said that, its a good fight and a safe one too as Chisora hasn't had a decent win since 2013 and isn't a big enough puncher either to be a risk plus he's very much a hot and cold fighter...can look absolutely awful at times and if he doesn't have any early success with joyce he could become very negative and lazy.

Joyce deserves huge respect for stepping up like this in only his 4th fight.
