Comments Thread For: Don King: Imam Didn't Throw Enough, Ramirez Was Relentless

Jose Ramirez won his first world title Saturday night with a unanimous decision victory over Amir Imam to win the WBC's vacant 140-pound belt. Ramirez pulled away in the late rounds, swelling Imam's right eye in the process to take the title that became open when Terence Crawford moved up to welterweight.

Imam doesn't have any defense!!! Who is training this kid. He fought the whole fight with his hands down and rarely followed up after his Jab!! He was scared to get countered.

He made him miss tons. But his hands were extremely low and he was absolutely scared of something. So many times he had opportunities to counter and did not. All he was doing was slipping and jabbing for the most part. Unless you slip EVERYTHING that’s not enough to win. Very frustrating to watch for Imam fans for sure.

The way Ramírez came out for the 12th made damn sure that Imam stayed scared too. He came out, fight in hand, and tried to close the show. Brought the fight to his opponent and tried to take him out in the final round. That’s how it should be done! Very satisfying fight for Ramírez fans and boxing fans in general. Looking forward to Prograis

Don king is a piece of work made boxers money..ripped off many fighters as well. Go away already. On the other hand would like to see Mikey Garcia fight Ramirez next. Then the winner fight Loma or Linares winner. See who the best is at 135 140

                not saying Iman won

But those scorecards were sh.it and the commentary from the TR team would have made HBo embarrassed

The cheerleading by ESPN was crazy, especially during Gvozdyk.

                    Yeah for sure

Not going to lie I fast forwarded some of the rounds because I wanted to watch Ramirez / Iman and wasn’t all that impressed with Gvodsyk last night

But TR commentary is so f.ucking blatant sucking the TRs fighters d.ick so hard I’m suprised they weren’t coughing & choking when announcing the fights

the 3 big outlets that show boxing HBO/Showtime / Espn it seems the only one not being criminally biased towards the home fighter is Showtime

For me it does a disservice to the telecast and the sport in general when there’s that much Pom-pom waiving

Like it’s ok to admit that the a-side lost a round or is in a tough fight
