If it's not in the rules, then by all means sue. They need to clearly label rules cuz if they replace him then they should replace groves if he needs surgery.

I'm sure this will get shut down & it was covered in the WBSS contract agreement all the fighters signed. I mean every single event had a sub fighting on the card in case something happened to someone in the tournament so its not like this was a unknown thing to anyone. It was part of the tournament.

Although I will say if they push out Groves vs Smith past June 2 there is an argument for why they didn't do that for Braehmer too. In particular since we knew Groves had his injury & the finals may not go down when they were supposed to go down.

Personally I say f#ck all that cuz a tournament is some old school sh^t & part of winning a tournament is winning & part of it is being healthy enough to even be able to fight & win. So I honestly got no issue with Smith vs some sub being for the WBSS title if Groves couldn't fight like Braehmer couldn't fight if the WBSS wishes to run the tournament like an old school tournament. Smith vs Groves can happen on its own timeline. I doubt they will cuz MONEY & I can't imagine there is anyone who wouldn't rather see Groves vs Smith over Smith vs some random guy, but I'm just saying I got no problem with whatever they decide.

Yep agree. I'm betting thats why Braehmer is doing this now cuz he's thinking he has a solid argument if they push out Groves vs Smith OR he could get that sub spot if the WBSS is trying to avoid drama if Groves can't fight on June 2.

So the one thing I feel fairly confident in predicting now is Eubank Jr isn't gonna get put in the finals if Groves is out. And I'd bet against a random sub being put in. We will see Groves vs Smith as it all worked out to be or Smith vs Braehmer in the finals I'd bet.
