Comments Thread For: Luke Campbell Embraces Possibility of Vasyl Lomachenko Fight

Olympic gold medal winner Luke Campbell (17-2, 14 KOs) has embraced the idea of a potential fight with Vasyl Lomachenko (10-1, 8 KOs), who captured two gold medals in the Olympic games. There is some discussion about Campbell potentially signing a co-promotional deal with Top Rank - and the deal involves a three fight pact that ends with a Lomachenko fight.

Luke did well in the Linares fight and I had him losing by 1/2 rounds.

Think Loma is a step too far. Would like to see him fight Crolla though.

No interest in this fight from a competitive standpoint. Loma toys with him, and It’s not like Campbell’s name carries any weight at 135.
From a selfish standpoint I’d like to go and watch Loma fight live again if it’s in the UK but all in all I don’t really see the point in this fight.

I like Ritson, there’s been a lot of noise about him in the north east for a while now. Whether he ever gets to elite level I doubt it but he certainly looks a level above the current domestic class atm. I rather see Campbell-Ritson than either of them face Loma tbh

Campbell has the length but not much else to really trouble Loma imo. Gotta give it to him though for being willing to take on the best.

Yea I would like to see that fight too.

Ritson v Cardle this month. Should be a walk in the park for him.

Maybe Campbell fights Mendy again for the WBC title since Mikey will be leaving the division for good this year and then faces Lomachenko in a WBC/WBA/WBO unification early next year. I think it would probably go to NYC.

I agree he wouldn't be competitive even though he looked good against Linares. He looked huge in that ring against Linares. I was expecting to see him at 140 soon.

Which Loma fight did you get to see live? He's one of the most impressive fighters I've seen live. I went to the Ramirez, Russell, Walters, Marriaga, Rigondeaux fights. I'll be going to the Linares one too.
