Abel Sanchez, trainer for IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin, is hoping that the Nevada State Athletic Commission does not sweep Canelo Alvarez's positive drug test under the rug. It was revealed earlier this week that Canelo had tested positive for traces of clenbuterol - which the boxer's camp has blamed on eating contaminated meat from Mexico.

Canelo generates too much money for the governing bodies, the state, promoter, judges, venue, hotels, restaurants, flights, etc, etc

its not so strange that judges always score strongly in favour of Canelo

If they find out he is/was a drugs cheat, down goes all that money!

It's understandable to want to know the truth. 1 of 2 things happened. Either Canelo tried to use peds after his last fight expecting it to be out of his system by now but traces were found or, he ate bad meat in Mexico. So we're either dealing with a cheater or an idiot because Canelo has too much money and there is too much awareness of the problems with Mexican meat for this to happen to someone of even average intelligence.

For all of the slack and bashing Golovkin and Sanchez get they've handled this better than they are being given credit for. Seriously, they are on the bad side of this situation and in most cases were expected to start foaming at the mouth with insults and accusations. People will ignore how this is being handled by them though.
