  • Comments Thread For: Lewis Ritson vs. Scotty Cardle Added To Whyte-Browne Card

Lewis Ritson only boxed at the back end of last month but the North East star will be back in action again in a few weeks' time. The 24-year-old blasted away Joe Murray inside a round at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester on February 25 to successfully retain his British lightweight title.

Cardle is and always has been the epitome of British level, despite the hype SKY used to give him, Ritson is much more than that. Cardle is getting wiped off the face of the earth. Also love how active Ritson is staying now. Believe I heard they're going to make the 3 defenses for the Lonsdale belt and then move Ritson up, which is good development imo, think they were talking about the Dodd/Coyle winner being his next defense. Hopefully he goes for the Euro belt after all this, Ritson is the real deal

Can't see anything other than a Riston win here.

Ritson is so good to watch; beautifully measured aggression and power. Not sure how far he will go but he should definitely clean up at British level.

Ritson is good to watch and is a monster at 135. He'll walk through cardle and then on to bigger and better things.

Fantastic to see a talented fighter with knockout power getting a lot of activity at this stage in his career. He fought five times in 2016 but only once in 2017. Roll on 2018, he could end up as Prospect of the year.
