Comments Thread For: Lipinets: Broner Should've Beaten Garcia, But Wasn't at His Best

Sergey Lipinets was surprised Mikey Garcia beat Adrien Broner, especially so easily. Garcia was a sizeable favorite over Broner, even though Garcia moved up from the lightweight limit of 135 pounds to box Broner in a 12-round, 140-pound fight. Lipinets still expected Broner to win their non-title fight July 29 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

People have to accept that Broner doesn’t have the discipline to put in the hard work to be where he should be with his talent in boxing.
He should retire before he gets hurt playing around. Go be a rapper or whatever it is that he really wants to do

Sounds to me like this Lipinets cat is underestimating mikey.

Let’s see how he walks Mikey down when he gets his ass lit up like zhacatin

Exactly right!! The fact is he still thinks he can cut corners and not have to put in the hard work like the other top fighters. He tries to be a rapper and make mixtapes in between fights and wonders why he comes up short in the ring. He'll find out once he gets KO'd that all that trying to be cool stuff don't work when you don't train.

Lipinets was spot on with his analysis of Broner. Broner should have been the aggressor in that fight and he would have won. When he finally decided to fight he was successful. He looked like he was waiting for the right time to throw a punch instead of taking risks and being more active throwing punches. If he does the same thing against Jessie Vargas he'll lose again smh lol And even if Adrien does win I bet he'll get the big ego and go right back into the same habits.

Broner couldn't walk Mikey down because he was tasting heavy leather when he tried to be the aggressor. Mikey has a good chin and AB just wasn't up to the task. Neither will Lipinets
