  • Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua-Deontay Wilder: The Epic of a New Generation

By Lyle Fitzsimmons - The answer depends on when fans came of age. Those in their 50s will hear the phrase "big heavyweight fight" and instantly recall 1970s images of Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier and George Foreman. Those a decade younger might ponder early-1990s matches involving Evander Holyfield and Rid**** Bowe. And those who claim membership in the millennial generation can look back on a wild night in Memphis when the fading legend of Mike Tyson intersected with the ascending one of Lennox Lewis...

Funny that everyone is already assuming that it's gonna be AJ vs Wilder.
Parker will knock Joshua out and then ko him again in the rematch, after that he will head to Las Vegas to ko Windmill Wilder.

I knew Fitz would be writing this rubbish. AJ v Wlad was the definitive heavyweight clash of this generation. AJ v Fury, if the fat one can get in shape and get some fights under his belt, maybe be the next definitive battle.

As for Wilder, there is nothing definitive about him. He is an unknown with a paper title with 1 worthwhile defence in almost 4 years. AJ slices through him like a hot knife through butter.

                  1. Lol AJ v Klitchsko was not the definitive clash. Damn good fight, but let's keep things in perspective. The old man had been out of the ring for 18 months and was coming off a loss in a fight that was a real snooze fest versus Fury.

                  2. Fury still looks like a small whale, I'll belive in his "comeback" when he looks like he in partial fifht shape.

Wilder v Joshua is the fight that the whole world will tune into right now. Not just fans in the UK and a few other European countries.
