Deontay Wilder: Wilder's critics undoubtedly were poised to pounce on the WBC heavyweight titleholder in the seventh round on Saturday, when Luis Ortiz had Wilder out on his feet and on the verge of his first defeat. "I told you he wasn't that good, I told you," would've been a common refrain on social media. They never got their chance. Instead, it was the towering Alabamian who made a dramatic statement.

This win over 'King-Kong' Luis Ortiz is going to look even better with time : here we see a list of former HW champions fighting below 220, as you can see Deontay has a better defense than David Gay, Chris Byrd ( the Bird is the word) and Evander Holyfield. Would these men mentioned have beaten a undefeated Luis Ortiz weighing 241¼ ?

Byrd goes the distance with the journeyman Andrew Golota so does Evander with Granda George Foreman.....OK I'll be honest David Haye gave up almost a hundred pounds fighting Nikolay Valuev who came in at 316 whilst David weighed 217, but he went the distance and we all know another cruiserweight already beat the Bigfoot before that ( Holyfield ). Deontay 'Bronze-Bomber' Wilder would of KO the stiff Yeti, I'm sure of it.

Anyways I think they all get stopped by 'King-Kong', but tha 'Bronze-Bomber' is knocking these massive heavyweight even at 214 pounds! trading blow for blow and getting them out of there, Deontay is a LEGEND.

great win, no point comparing it to AJ's win. What we need to see is him get in there with AJ a couple times. They both got the beating of each other.

Wilder beating 40 something grandpa with high blood pressure only showed Wilder can be knocked out by any prime top ten Heavyweight right now....Fight was a farce but i digress...

Bivol won the night, outperformed Ward in beating up Barrera and stopping him. Bivol was ducked by Jack and for good reason here. Ward retirement also to duck Bivol and Beterbiev. No guts but they at least know they aren't good enough to beat these Eastern beasts.

Kovalev should truly fight jack next. We know Stevenson won't fight Kovalev no matter what so hopefully jack retires this fraud once and for all.
