  • Comments Thread For: David Lemieux Likely To Avoid Surgery, Return on Canelo-GGG

It seems that former IBF middleweight David Lemieux can avoid surgery on his left shoulder. So much so that his team expects him to return on the Cinoc De Mayo date of May 5th, as part of the undercard to the Canelo vs. Gennady Golovkin rematch at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Lemieux has been bothered by the shoulder injury for a while, but he's going through rehab sessions instead of surgery - which would shelf him for at least 9to 12 months.

I know it's a massive event but it's still a ****** as **** reason to risk permanent damage to your shoulder. I hope his team is actually looking out for him and not just cashing in on his recklessness.

Nothing wrong with DL v O’ Sullivan as an undercard matchup. That could be a really fun fight.

If David Lemieux takes on Spike O’Sullivan it will be a career ender.. Spike will spark David especially working with a questionable shoulder .. This guy looks like the real thing. If the fight happens watch for the upset on this one! 🕵🏼*♂️

I guess he'll have a built in excuse when he loses and blame the shoulder again. He should have called Manny and asked him what sea he swam in that magically cured his shoulder. That salt water cures everything.

A little salt water should do the trick!

Was hoping for a better undercard. Maybe as the 3rd or 4th fight though.

Depending on how healthy David's shoulder is, Spike O'Sullivan would play directly into Lemieux's style. Spike is gonna be right in front of David's face all night long, right where David likes his opponents to be.
