Comments Thread For: Josh Taylor Crushes Campos in Three Round Stoppage

The SSE Hydro, Glasgow, Scotland - Junior welterweight Josh Taylor (12-0, 11 KOs) continued his rise with a third round stoppage of late replacement Winston Campos (30-4-5). Campos stepped in a week ago after former world champion Humberto Soto fell ill and withdrew from the contest.

They need to step this kid up, enough is enough. That was a mismatch.

Taylor probably the best fighter that I still haven't been able to watch live, guess I'll be over to Youtube for more highlights again

That I understand, but Soto had been inactive for like 2 years and last time out he was very out of shape (fighting at junior middleweight for christ sake). Soto should be fighting at 135. He would have been crushed in the same fashion, maybe lasted a few rounds longer.

Taylor is quality. He’s the fighter that excites me the most in the UK atm. Excluding Mikey I’d confidently pick him to beat anyone at 140.

What a dolt. Taylor will be fighting for a world title later this year, once the belts at 140 are sorted out in March.
