That isn't an un-relevant topic. When should society stop something or put more safeguards in place with an activity a person or persons CHOOSE to do on their own accord? Idk man thats a tough a$$ question. Should a society EVER stop someone from doing something that hurts no one but themselves, potentially? I wanna say no, but I clearly see more issues with certain issues & less issues with others & I see more or less money to be made or not made with other things that would impact a governments decision on a matter most likely.

I hate that in the US we've at one time decided certain things should be the rule, can't gamble, girls can't sell *****, can't use drugs, gotta wear a helmet/seatbelt, etc & so on with so many things. None of those things hurt anyone except the person making a decision to do those things. I suppose there is an argument there is some butterfly effect from some of them that have merit, but there is plenty of that sorta thing going on in much more deeper ways with more things in our society.

RIP champ. There are ways to make boxing safer but boxing will never be a SAFE sport. It's a gladiatorial sport and those that take part know of the consequences but they still take part because they love it.

When it's pointed out to these people how many more people die in other sports compared to boxing, they start to site the "intention" to damage or harm in boxing. When it becomes clear that nobody intends real harm on an opponent, they look around for ****** quotes from ****** people in the game.Thats why certain idiots would be better off keeping their mouths shut Chris Eubank.

Boxing will never be a "safe" sport but there are many sports that aren't safe. We all make choices what we want to do with our lives. I understand that people that are against boxing always point out that in other sports the injuries are accidents. They don't feel we can say that about boxing because the nature of the sport is to punch each other in the face and do as much damage as possibly and celebrate when someone gets knocked out.

It'll make it safer for sure, but at the expense of much more broken bones in the face and hands.

                    Less brain injuries though.

Maybe smaller, MMA type of gloves. Do they make 4 oz boxing gloves?
