He did very well on such short notice.

Someone suggested him vs Eubank Jr on the undercard of the final. I could see that being decent. Ultimately, the length and jab of Smith took the fight away from him on the cards.

hilarious how groves has already vacated the IBO. Do people consider jr. a world champion?

styles make fights I think eubank would blast him out. holzken was standing in front of smith, there to be hit for most of the night. his style is pretty much tailor-made for eubank, I think he would stop him.

I had hoped that this would happen. Just the final kick in the teeth from Groves. One last **** you.

The thing is, I didn’t really see Groves kicking Eubank Jrs ass like some others did. And I’m a bigger Groves fan than Eubank Jr. I saw it as an ugly affair full of Groves trying to jab Eubank when Eubank came forward, and as soon as Eubank got close he grabbed him and tied him up. Other than that it was a stale fight of Eubank Jr launching lead left hooks that usually missed badly and both fightersvwrestlung around with eachother while using their free arm to hit their opponent in the side til the ref broke them apart. Only damage was caused by a head butt. Perhaps the blood from the butt along with Jrs amateurish wild misses helped convince people Groves put a beat down on Jr. Not the fight I saw though
