    As BoxingScene.com previously reported, former WBO middleweight world champion Andy Lee announced his retirement from boxing. Lee (35-3-1, 24 KOs) appeared on the Off The Ball program and announced his retirement from the sport. The veteran, still only 33 years old, has been out of the ring since last March.

      Its probably for the best. If you don't have the hunger for the sport then better get out before you are fed to younger and hungrier fighters. 160 is a very tough division now. Andy Lee would have problems.

        Seems humble and smart move if no hunger but I wont miss him.. his last fight was horrendous.. still remember the crowd booing halfway through because neither were throwing for like 25 seconds hahah

          I hope Andy has a good retirement he earned it he never was an elite and Elite but he always gave his all and he gave fans some good Thrills to remember him by...

              It says a lot about his career that he lost a competitive fight to a younger stronger dude who was a massive weight bully at 160 with an iron chin? He outweighed Lee by like 15lbs in the ring. Andy wasn’t a real slick fighter, but he was a southpaw with a world class eraser for a right hook. Andy Lee wasn’t elite but he wasn’t a bum.

                Well, if he's been thinking about retiring, it is a good move. You can't expect to be at the top of your game with the mindset of retirement.
