Comments Thread For: Moses Not Happy With Scores, Wants Rematch With Ray Beltran

This past Friday boxing fans at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada and in front of television sets were able to witness a vivid 12-round lightweight championship fight between two willing contenders. Ray Beltran and Paulus Moses are in the last stages of their respected careers but that does not stop them to give their all in a bloody encounter saw both participants rocked at least once.

moses paulus, u won the fight. beltran's face tells the story. your jab was beautiful, one of the best i've seen, but you also showed much more than just a jab. however, i believe you had to lose the fight, because beltran has a story that is attached to national politics, immigration, trump, good vs. evil, etc. unless you knocked him out, you had to lose this fight for the good of the universe. but your graciousness in defeat exalts you even higher than what you showed in the ring. please fight in the states again. i can only speak for myself, but i believe your performance has won you many new fans in america

Beltran won the fight rightfully so by sweeping those last 3 rounds. He wanted it more and he got it

Sorry Moses but this situation is higher than you. Beltran had a great story leading into this fight and all of boxing was in his corner. Now arum will arum will sacrifice him and all his hard work to become a victim to Loma.

I had Beltran up 7 rounds to 5... the two scores of 923 was stretching it a bit I thought but a rematch would be a good fight the fans enjoyed it but it took a lot out of Ray.. anyone could see that how long he continues to go on I don't know but isn't he exciting???

Beltran won 115-113. 117-111 was shameful.

The last time i checked boxing is scored round by round, Moses dominated from round 3 to 9. It shouldnt matter who finished the fight stronger or who needed a green card most. Moses won this fight straight away and the judges were a disgrace. Shame on world boxing for allowing such crap.

Moses needs a hook to go with his straight right. He got Beltran's attention, but one shot at a time from one side can be dealt with.
