Comments Thread For: Moses's Promoter: It would be a pity to fight an 'enhanced Beltran'!

On this coming Friday, in Reno, Nevada Raymundo Beltran and Paulus Moses will face off in a 12-round matchup for the vacant WBO lightweight title. The winner, however, would not only secure a world championship belt but also sign up for potential super-fights against the likes of WBC titlist Mikey Garcia, WBA/Ring belt holder Jorge Linares, or even P4P shortlisted and soon-to-be 135-pound participant Vasyl Lomachenko.

Gotta say Beltran has shown more power in last couple years. That does NOT happen without help. Now maybe he just caught a couple guys just right but I have my doubts.I hate this era sometimes.

So when he got caught did he receive a ban or any sort of infringement?

Former lightweight contender Ray Beltran has been suspended for nine months by the Nevada Athletic Commission due to his coming up positive for the banned substance stanozolol in testing done for his May 1 technical knockout win over Takahiro Ao. The commission voted unanimously on the punishment during its Aug. 13 meeting. Stanozolol, which is also known as Winstrol, is a steroid that also gets rid of fat without getting rid of muscle. Beltran had difficulty making the lightweight limit for the bout and came in half a pound over, meaning the vacant title they were fighting for remained vacant after the bout.

Thanks bro. Funny how they always blame their trainer or manager or anybody else besides themselves.
