UK Fans...Who gave Nick Blackwell $70k after the Eubank Jr fight?

Listening to Steve Bunce on 5 Live talking about the Nick Blackwell situation (who he calls the dumbest guy in boxing) & he mentioned some boxer gave Blackwell $70k after his injury to Eubank Jr & before his more severe injury sparring afterwards.

Anyone know who this was or know who's rumored to be the person?

He said people would be shocked to know who it was. Didn't really give anymore clues, but maybe he's talked about elsewhere & hinted at it more, but my US-based a$$ just hasn't heard it maybe.

Wow did not know that! David Haye is a great guy, a lot of people underestimate just how much of a force he was in his prime, sad to see him waste a lot of years.

He also gets a lot of chit because the whole Tyson Fury thing, but Tyson himself pulled out twice for the Wlad rematch. Injuries happen, unfortunately for Haye they happened to him more than others.

Hope to see him in good health and good shape in the Bellew rematch so he can have a chance at a couple more paydays. I love the CW division atm but none of them would carry the same power as Haye did when he went to HW

It was Haye.. Remeber a interview where he was asked about it but refused to comment or confirm it but Blackwell confirmed it.

Edit: I guess the article above confirms it also.. Very kind of Haye. Heard he also paid part of his purse to a boxer who fought on his undercard because the guys manager screwed him over.
