Sparring is not like fighting, it's just for adjustments?

Anyone else heard the exact opposite about these sparring stories?
I heard Groves was lightning him up.

More nonsensical yammering from the Sr. narcissist. Of course he's going to say Jr. won the spars and will have no trouble with Groves. It's yet another desperate sounding effort to hype his son and discredit anything Groves has achieved as a pro. Saying sparring is a definitive determining factor in what will happen in the ring is foolish. I wonder whether Sr. actually believes this or if it's just more provocations of the greatness of the Eubanks. If this is what he honestly believes about sparring he's more delusional than I thought.

These sparring sessions happened nearly 7 years ago anyway. It was May '11 when Groves fought Degale. That's a long time ago.

Eubank Jr. claims they sparred several times over the years.

Eubank might have beat groves to a pulp all those years ago. But that was then and nows now. Groves might be better. Is better. Groves might have improved more than eubank.
So might have to worry a little.

True, but froch only sparred with eubank and from that could tell eubank would do well and go far. Wlad only sparred with josh and predicted what we see now of josh.
So each situation is different, each sparring sessions are also and has to be taken on its oiwn merit and context each case is individual.
Confusing thing here is groves thinks he did better so different stoiries

Is it possible to read those quotes without hearing Eubank’s voice?
