Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury's Coach: Wilder is a More Dangerous Fight Than Joshua

Ben Davison, the new trainer for former IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 KOs), is currently preparing the 'Gypsy King' for a planned comeback on a date in April. Fury has been inactive since traveling to Germany to capture his heavyweight titles with an upset twelve round unanimous decision over Wladimir Klitschko.

OK maybe birdlegs could hurt the GYPSY KING if he connect's right on the chin. trouble is birdlegs don't have the skills to reach the GYPSY KING's chin . he will never connect solid and birdlegs himself will end up being out skilled ands out sized and KO'ed by the GYPSY KING !

Fury's a good boxer but not a concussive puncher. I don't see how he can beat Joshua tbh. Joshua's big, long reach, boxing brain and power. That stick and move Fury does is good against shorter opponents not powerful guys like Joshua. When Joshua lands, Fury will go down, at that time we will know what stuff he is made of.

As for Wilder, No one knows how good Wilder is. Everyone looks good when fighting bums. He still needs to fight a good fighter who can hit back not someone who is sick or over matched. Once Wilder passes his first test we will know whether he is good under pressure as they claim. Those windmill shots can be countered. I don't think Ortiz's will do anything to Wilder, he's not as good as people think but you never know with boxing

I actually think Wilder is a more dangerous fight for Fury than Joshua. Wilder's speed and power and range along with the fact Fury doesn't have the best chin could be a risker fight. Wilder could take him out with a shot out of the blue while I think Joshua while a more concussive puncher lacks the explosiveness that Wilder has and would have to break Fury down. Wilder's speed and explosiveness means he's more likely to catch Fury than Joshua.

I'd favour prime Fury to outbox both of them though. Not sure if we'll see a good enough version of Fury return that could beat them both. We'll just have to wait and see.

As for what Davison is saying in regards to Wilder's "bad habit" or what Fury will bring to beat Wilder, it's clear he thinks he sees a weakness in Wilder that Fury can take advantage off. Question is which one is it, Wilder has no many flaws and Fury is so versatile.

Maybe he's talking about how Washington jabbed him and made Wilder react defensively, leaving himself in bad positions. Fury does have a good jab.

Maybe it's Szpilka with his southpaw stance, he was definitely giving Wilder problems, making him box more defensively and get pushed back. Fury does fight reasonably well from the southpaw stance.

losing another 5 stone is gonna be the biggest battle

Would be class if Tyson came back and cleared up the hw division but I don’t think he has the self control

They should put fury in with whyte to gauge how much that 2 year coke binge took out of him

You don't simply step straight in against the King of the Bronze Era.

You gotta work your way up. Three more fights, then we talk.

Josh and wilder are tough at this point for fury.
Even Briggs would be and tarver. Maybe belles also

They keep underestimating Joshua and he keeps fighting the hardest fight out there,at the end of the day Joshua will be undisputed heavyweight champion of the world
