    The promoter of IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs), Tom Loeffler, was happy with the terms of the agreement for the second fight between his pupil and Mexican superstar Saul Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs). The rematch is scheduled for May 5 at a venue to be determined.

      why would he retire, he's got 3rd Canelo fight, Jacobs 2, winner WBSS 168 Eubank, Charlo bros, Murata in Japan, there are still plenty millions to grab!

        Well, hopefully he beats Canelo so this can be a proper unification fight. After both fights I can see him retiring not long after. Win or lose.

          Pretty simple, he'll never make the kind of money he'll make from a Canelo fight.

          I could see him getting a nice payday against BJS. But after that, and at his age? There's nothing left to do.

          It's going to take a lot more than the standard $3M dollar paydays from HBO to walk him up early in the morning.

              Yeah its going to be tough making $20million + to around $5 million again. And HBO isnt buying fights or spending $$

                I agree. Now is the time when he can make the most money out of his career. Also to build his legacy.

                    ggg is 36 this year. the end is near.

                    he isn't about to fight all these dogs at 160
