Comments Thread For: Eubank: I Hurt Groves in Sparring, No Way He Goes The Distance!

According to IBO super middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. (26-1, 20 KOs), he used to do a real number on WBA super world champion George Groves (27-3, 20 KOs) when the two of them would spar in the gym. Eubank claims that he used to do some real damage, leading to some of the sparring sessions being cut short and others where Groves would walk away very frustrated.

I hope Groves knocks him out but I think Georges best days are behind him and Eubank may get the stoppage.

I’ve actually heard Groves lit him up and hurt him in sparring, not that any of these BS sparring stories are relevant.

Whats up Goat seems like a good fight will be interesting to see Eubank tested at this weight and see how much he learned from BJS fight.Looked good vs Yildrim but he was untested himself.

Yeah I can’t wait for it, I’m going to this fight as well so that’s why I’m so hyped. I’m picking Groves by decision ATM but I’ve been flip flopping all week. I can genuinely see any outcome in this fight which is why I think it’s so interesting. I’m still not totally sold on Eubank but a win over Groves would legitimise him as a top fighter at 168.

I believe him. He is fighting better now than ever before. I think he beats everybody at 168 and probably by KO. I think he will KO groves. Groves is a big puncher but he has been knocked out while I don't think Eubank has ever been knocked down.

Wish fighters would stop this kiss and tell business when it comes to sparing ....
