Nobody complained before that the final will be staged in Saudi Arabia. Now all of a sudden Russians want it to be in Russia.They are afraid (and rightly so) that Gassiev gets beaten by Usyk fairly on points.

Plus Usyk´s training camp was not perfect for the Briedis fight which he confirmed. Usually he trains in the Carpathian Mountains in Bukovel but this time due to tourist season there he had to switch his camp to Kyiv. At the airport when he returned to Ukraine from the Briedis fight he said that he will seriously prepare for the WBSS final and adjust from his mistakes in the Briedis fight.

Yes Gassiev has a ****** name but he is Orthodox Christian from Ossetia. Btw his brother´s name is David.

Gassiev is tailormade for Usyk. This will be an easier fight than against Briedis. Plus Usyk fought better opposition in his career than Gassiev. Usyk fought them in the opponent´s backyard each time.

it doesn't matter where he fought the fights. it's not like he's getting jobbed on the cards.


He could've easily lost the Brieids fight. I had briedis win.

The final will be at a higher pace and Usyk´s engine is a bit better.. Usyk by close UD. Gassiev also had some problems with southpaw Lebedev (still got the W tho just 23 yo so could mean nothing).
