  • Comments Thread For: Hart Not Impressed: World Boxing Super Series at 168 is a Joke!

Allan Green said the same thing about the Super Six years ago. Then he was brought in and lost to Ward and Johnson.

They asked the top supermiddle weights. Ramirez prob wasn't allowed to join because of Arum, Smith was messed around for Dirrell for a title shot he'd been waiting about 2 years for, so that belt was vacant. Smith, Eubank and Groves would all smash you. DeGale was injured so couldn't compete. It just so happens that the best guys in the division at the moment are British. There aren't any decent Americans.

Its prizefighting. And the money was sexier there than anyone else. Hart woulda did well to join, but I doubt he could get the okay from Arum. It'd definitely upped his pay, but I guess he's okay making less money & is okay getting hit in the head for lesser pay.

Yeah man, him and Ramirez fighting the 3rd and 8th ranked Ghanaians is far more legit

The 'Super Six' actually DID include all the top 168lb fighters at the time, except for Lucian Bute. Allan Green was only included when some of the top guys withdrew after the tournament had already begun. This current Tournament excluded some of the top fighters from the beginning. It's interesting, but not quite as prestigious as the Super Six was.

Zurdos son is right. Zurdo and him would easily win that tournament then fight each other which would leave Zurdo as the clear winner

All four semi finalists play with this guy. Ramirez was asked but was chicken****.
