Vasyl Lomachenko vs Mikey Garcia will be similar to Mairis Briedis vs Olekansdr Usyk. Expect neither guy to dominate the other and win a one sided bout by a significantly large margin by landing significantly more punches than the other and by getting hit significantly less than the other.

Mairis Briedis's punching skills and technique is also very similar to Mikey Garcia's too. Both have very technically sound punches from a boxing fundamental perspective Their punches are extremely short, straight and is subsequently very difficult to counter and evade. Both also seem to always remain in position after throwing their punches.

And those who follow Loamchenko and Usyk should already know that both are stylistically very similar. And the exact problems that Brieidis caused to Usyk, Mikey Garcia will cause similar problems to Vasyl Lomachenko.

I actually think it will be a fairly one sided fight. Mikey just too stationary and slow on his feet and his offense is a little too repetitive. I think Linares presents a more difficult style match for Lomachenko, but I'd favor Garcia over Linares. Styles make fights.

Garcia is a fantastic fighter, as technically sound as they come but I have a hard time envisioning him landing on Loma with enough consistency to win. Loma wont be able to hurt him but I could see him piling up points and frustrating him.

That's what many people thought about Briedis but Briedis made it very competitive against Usyk. Never underestimate fundamental boxing techniques / skills.

I just feel Mikey Garcia is going to present Lomachenko similar problems that Brieidis presented Oleksandr Usyk. I still think Lomachenko wins but in a close and competitive bout, rather than in an noncompetitive bout.

If Garcia stays at 140 the fight might not happen for quite some time.
