  • Comments Thread For: Hunter: Khan Will Have Very Tough Sparring, Has A lot To Prove

Virgil Hunter, trainer for former world champion Amir Khan (31-4, 19 KOs), says his boxer will be matched very tough in training camp - because the veteran coach wants to get a good read on where Khan stands, mentally and physically, as a fighter. Khan is scheduled to return to the ring on April 21, in a showdown with Phil Lo Greco at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.

Hunter calls this club fighter a tough opponent. That say's exactly what his and our thoughts are of how fragile Amir Khan is.

Brook fights Rabchenko world no.7 ranked L/M in his comeback after surgery.

Khan fights a unheard of club fighter who his trainer and promoter call a tough opponent.........lol........

        only with ole glass jaw.

Hunter never been good for Khan imo. The fights he did win with Hunter he would have won on instincts alone. When he gets tired in fights he still goes back to the same old Khan throwing sloppy punches and leaving his chin in the air not countering or moving his head after punching..

Hunter will have him sparring 135 pounders just so he doesn't crack the china chin.

Khan should only use focus mitts to sharpoen his tools.
In sparring no headshots. Or use 20oz gloves and latest technology headwear

Haha that's a good point he'll be spewing nonsense like "I buzzed ward in there a couple times with my new and improved surgically healed right hand, but he's retired now so I shouldn't boast"
