Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua Nominated For Laureus World Sports Award

An impressive collection of the greatest men, women and teams in sport have been nominated for the 2018 Laureus World Sports Awards, following a ballot by the world's sports media. Tennis superstar Roger Federer's impressive return to form after a knee injury, which saw him win his fifth Australian Open and eighth Wimbledon titles, sees him nominated in both the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year and Laureus World Comeback of the Year categories. Federer, who is currently a four-time Award winner could become the most decorated Laureus Award winner at the 2018 ceremony in Monaco on February 27.

Mundine must be proud of Joshua, a great representative of the superior black race.

This is why Joshua is a turn off to some boxing fan. He really hasn't done anything to deserve some of this accolades, he is now getting into what is needed to be done. But he is NOT there yet. Let him beat the Parkers, Wilders and defend those titles against the top challengers first.

People complaining already, but why couldnt he be nominated for Breakthrough sportsman of the year?

It was a breakout year for him, and he is now a megastar in this country and a star around the world.

Mbappe should probably win, but dont see any reason AJ shouldn't be nominated

Can't argue with this. 2017 was definitely Joshua's big coming out party.
