Former world champion Amir Khan (31-4, 19 KOs) is setting his sights on all of the big names in the welterweight division. The weight class is currently packed with a lot of names and a lot of talent. In a few months, the division will become a little more crowded when Terence Crawford (32-0, 23 KOs) makes his anticipated debut at the weight.

How did Amir ever make it through high School alive and into adult life! - If you talked half as much **** as Khan does and couldn't fight you'd be getting knocked out.

He is saying this cause he didn’t carry up his power. So sick of hearing him talking for the last 20 months and not fighting.

It's a good point that Khan makes. It might not carry up, people taking it for granted that he's gonna take the division by storm. It might not happen, is he gonna have the firepower to keep some fighters off of him?

Roberto Duran, Pernell Whitaker, Sugar Shane Mosley, Oscar De La Hoya, Zab Judah and Mayweather.

I think Crawford will be alright.

It's ok for Khan to question but moving up to 147 from a lower weight is not uncommon in boxing.

I agree, I think his first few fights will be hand picked to avoid that.

I think crawford should avoid spence, he's too big. Spence is more suited as a light-middleweight and should be avoided by crawford. Horn is very bulky and I'm not sure crawford should fight him, I see that fight as a risk, since we don't really know how good horn is.

As for the rest, he should give them a good fight. Crawford vs Thurman, Crawford vs Pacquiao (If he returns), Crawford vs Khan, Crawford vs Garcia etc are all great choices for him since all those fights apart from maybe thurman allow him to do his usual game, which is to box up close without being on the ropes, as well as being able to brawl also. For thurman he will need to box more on the back foot, but I don't see it as an issue.

Crawford's power will still be good against everyone but spence and horn.

I dont think people "casuals" understand that most fighters actual weight on fight night is not 147. And HEY! maybe he'll have a "growth spurt" at 29 And carry power, gain conditioning up each weight class, remember when short stops suddenly started hitting 50+ homeruns in MLB He also wasnt getting drug tested at this tine. And he was "Deathly Scared" of needles (while being tatted up).
