The current world champion, Adonis Stevenson (29-1, 24 KOs), has not made a mandatory defense since a 2013 knockout win over Tony Bellew. Eleider Alvarez (23-0, 11 KOs) became the mandatory challenger to the title in November 2015 with a decision win over Isaac Chilemba.

Make it mandatory (after the Jack fight), and if Alvarez takes step aside money again, demote his ass.

These promoters have no respect for the sport or its fans. Yvon Michel, the promoter for both Stevenson and Alvarez, is making excuses for Alvarez's situation when 1) he promotes both Stevenson and Alvarez, so any failure to make Stevenson-Alvarez is entirely on Michel's shoulders and 2) Alvarez has stepped aside twice (not once as they claim) and would have no problem continuing this charade as long as Michel was feeding him money under the table.

It's no wonder Beterbiev got fed up and wanted to ditch these f*ggots. He wanted to continue this same BS with Beterbiev. Michel is Pimp's personal bodyguard. He will never fight a soul as long as Michel is in control.

GYM has only been acting as Stevenson's figurehead promoter since Adonis signed with Haymon. Haymon 'advises' both Stevenson and Alvarez, in fact. Everyone is pointing fingers at everyone except Haymon.
