Comments Thread For: Spence: 'Real Fighter' Brook Can Come Back, Win a Title at 154

Errol Spence Jr. is interested to see how Kell Brook bounces back from another serious surgery to fix a fractured orbital bone. If it doesn't damage the former welterweight champion's psyche, Spence sees Brook winning a world title at 154 pounds as well. Brook (36-2, 25 KOs) will fight for the first time since Spence knocked him out seven months ago on March 3.

I'm not a fan of ducking. But things could be very different if Kell Brook had not fought Gennady Golovkin in a size mismatch. He should have instead vacated his IBF Welterweight title and started again at Super Welterweight. I think he's damaged goods now after fighting GGG. Errol Spence Jr. just put the finishing touches on. Brook will never be the same again.

I'd actually like to see them fight again at 154 in 12-18 months. I really enjoyed the first fight. I like Spence too, he says the right things and wants the big fights.

Yup. Daring to be great can be admirable, but it can also be foolish.

Brook is 100% done I was a big fan before his golovkin suicide move now hes ruined his career. He could've lost to Errol and fought bums after and he would've still had a good careee ahead of him

Brook really tried to be too macho and that's probably ended him as an elite fighter. Maybe he was trying to outdo Khan (by facing Canelo) in fighting GGG but he really should have just fought Spence then instead of moving up to face a monster and moving back down when you can barely make the weight.

Brook really never capitalized on the Porter win. He fought three bums and then took the wrong matches. He would be a nice addition to 154 if he can recapture his old form but it seems unlikely.

Brook and Khan need to make it happen.

Their egos are stopping a sellable fight between them from happening
