Comments Thread For: Lamont Peterson Isn't Concerned About Getting Garcia Rematch

The last time Lamont Peterson fought at Barclays Center, he left the Brooklyn building with a controversial loss on his record. As Peterson prepares for his welterweight title fight against Errol Spence Jr. at the same venue, his debatable defeat to Danny Garcia is the last thing on his mind. If the two-division champion upsets Spence on January 20, rematches with Spence and Garcia would be logical choices for fights later this year.

I wouldn't be either. Danny is very comfy fighting guys like Rod Salka, Brandon Rios for checks. He probably faces Adrien Broner by the summer and faces Mikey Garcia at a catchweight.

That's cuz them marks came in toward the end of the fight. Danny started of early then LP came back STRONG but it was too late.

lol sadly yes, I remember seeing this meme on here after the fight, all I did was go to google and search Peterson vs Garcia meme and this pops up lol

but yea danny didn't win this fight just like he didn't win the Herrera fight, he really is gift Garcia

I give him credit for his khan and lucas wins, but he knows he got lucky, hence why he never gave them an immediate rematch

Lamont allowed Garcia to come at him during the early stages of the fight until he mastered the courage to engage Garcia toe to toe in the later stages but it was little too late.
He would have knocked Garcia out if he had another 2 rounds to fight.

isn't that pretty funny how danny did that against keith. danny had a chance to beat keith, finished good but it was too late.
