  • Comments Thread For: Indongo's Promoter is Furious, Says Boxer is Still Under Contract

As BoxingScene.com has informed fans, Namibian former super lightweight unified champion Julius Indongo signed a new promotional contract with the Brooklyn-based promoter, Lou DiBella, and he is planning to train for his ring return in Omaha, Nebraska. The boxer also inked a managerial pact with Michael Carter. "I'm very happy for the opportunity to fight for DiBella Entertainment. I will make sure that I work hard in order to open doors for my fellow Namibians. It's an unexpected dream that turned into reality. DiBella Entertainment, I'm thrilled to continue my career and achieve my goals with your promotional push," Indongo (22-1, 11 KOs) said in a statement.

It's at least two sides to every story. I don't see why these folk can't part ways. They already cashed out vs crawford.

World champion boxer still works as a police officer on the side. Shows the reality of boxing sometimes. He needs to move to the US and make some real money.

Yea, And I would think with a real trainer and good sparring partners he would be a force. Look what hes done with the little resources he has

Indongo's contract runs to 2019 with his old promoters. It was supposed to end in 2016...unless he won a world title, in which case, a three-year extension kicked in.

I'm sure some settlement will be reached where all promoters get a cut and Indongo gets screwed. To be honest, sounds like he screwed himself.

Good move? He would get destroyed by everybody at 147.

Hell Peterson and Victor Ortiz would *** him up.
