Framptons team does a very good job keeping him active with decent opposition. With that said, I wont be surprised if Nonito beats him.

Donaire is a one-trick pony. All he has is that left hook. I see Frampton taking a wide decision.

I really l don't like this at all. Frampton should be fighting top comp. I don't know where Donaire ranks but he's been faded for a long time now and is clearly not someone Carl should be fighting. To go from FOTY 2016 to fighting shot Donaire? That's sad.

Plus, Nonito should be smarter than to take something like this. I know he fights everyone but this is just not a wise move, IMO. He might get hurt.

Warren promised Frampton a Stadium fight in his city when he signed for him, dont think he wants to do any fight that will jeopardise it. Warren pretty much promised him he'll get him Santa Cruz in the summer, or if not the Selby/Warrington winner

I dunno who else he could’ve fought tbh. Aside from maybe Valdez, all the other champions wouldn’t have been plausible for early 2018.
Valdez was the only fight that seemed possible next but there’s probably more money in a Donaire fight in the UK that will sell 10k tickets than a Valdez fight in the states.
As long as Frampton fights the Valdez/Quigg winner, Selby/Warrington winner or one of the other top guys next I have no problem with him fighting Donaire in the meantime who despite being past his best is still a good fighter.

What if the potent left hook lands?
